Participation of three of EIPICO's leaders in the seminars of the Africa Health ExCon 2026 conference and exhibition

June 18, 2026

The future vision, self-confidence, and in the work team are among the most important characteristics of a true leader. Vision is not limited only to strategies and plans related to business development, but also preparing qualified cadres capable of leadership, and the preparation process goes far beyond professional preparation and accumulation of experiences, and self-confidence, and in the work team is embodied in presenting these promising leaders to represent the establishment and speak in its name in the most important forums.

During EIPICO's participation in the Africa Health ExCon conference and exhibition, which is one of the most prominent regional platforms concerned with developing the healthcare sector and enhancing cooperation between different active parties in the health system at the level of the African continent, three of the promising leaders in EIPICO participated in a number of important seminars that were held on the sidelines of the activities of this event.

So, in the discussion session entitled "The work of supply chains under the pressures of wars and severe geopolitical fluctuations":

Dr. Ahmed Azzam, EIPICO General Manager of Supply Chains , reviewed the company's pioneering experience in supporting local manufacturing and enhancing the flexibility of pharmaceutical supply chains, confirming that recent global crises highlighted the importance of building strong local production systems capable of ensuring the continuity of providing medicine and reducing dependence on external supply sources, and he pointed out that EIPICO succeeded in implementing an integrated strategy to deepen the medicine industry and enhance the local component in its products, as its percentage reached about 60%, through a number of strategic industrial projects that target supporting Egyptian pharmaceutical security and enhancing the competitive capability of the national pharmaceutical industry.

And on another side, Dr. Alaa Attia, EIPICO General Manager of Operational Expansions and New Preparations, spoke in a seminar organized by the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, reviewing EIPICO's role in enhancing the state's efforts to achieve pharmaceutical security and deepening and localizing the industry of medicines and pharmaceutical raw materials through the establishment of EIPICO 3 factory, the first factory in Egypt and the Middle East to produce biologicals and biosimilars completely starting from the cell to the final product and with investments exceeding 100 million dollars.

And also the establishment of the Arab Company for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (ARAB API), in the Suez Canal Economic Zone in Ain Sokhna, and the establishment of the first multi-purpose factory in the region to produce active pharmaceutical ingredients over 96 thousand square meters and with investments reaching 129 million dollars, and these two projects are considered a decisive turning point in deepening and localizing the industry of medicine and pharmaceutical raw materials in Egypt, which contributes to reducing the state's import bill of medicines and raw materials.

While Engineer / Mohamed Shafie, Head of the Pharmaceutical Tracking and Digital Transformation Department, spoke in another seminar in the same conference about EIPICO's success in the complete application of the pharmaceutical tracking system for its preparations, whether in local or foreign markets, as EIPICO is considered one of the first companies to apply the pharmaceutical tracking system (Track, Trace & Aggregation) for its preparations according to the latest global requirements with linking with a number of countries such as Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Bahrain, CIS countries, and Romania, and linking is currently underway with the Egyptian Drug Authority and Ethiopia, and also EIPICO's success as the first and largest medicine company in Egypt in digital transformation for all its vital activities, by applying a number of integrated digital systems such as: applying the EIPICO 4.0 system for digital transformation for all production operations for the number of 51 production lines and its compliance with the management of supply chains and warehouses in the company, and the LIMS system for managing quality control laboratories QC, and the QMeX system for managing the quality assurance system QA, and the ERP SAP system to manage and link all administrative, financial, production, and regulatory operations, all of that with the aim of reducing human error to the minimum limit or the non-occurrence of its happening, accuracy of information and speed of its exchange, facilitating decision-making in the least time.
