
He was accompanied by H.E. Ambassador, H.E. Andris Razans, the Latvian Ambassador to Cairo, and Mrs. Dina Gilus, Deputy Head of Mission of Latvia in Cairo.
They were received by Dr. Ahmed Kelani, Chairman and Managing Director of EIPICO.
Dr. Kelani presented an overview of the company's capabilities and its position as one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Egypt, the Arab region, and Africa.
He also presented the growth in production, sales, and exports, as well as the quality certifications EIPICO has been awarded by numerous prestigious international organizations.
He further highlighted the company's national role in supporting the state's plans to maintain the availability of medicine to citizens.
As well as EIPICO's participation in Presidential Health Initiatives.
Dr. Kelani also presented the current status of the company's most important ongoing projects, including the completion of the EIPICO 3 factory, the first in Egypt to fully manufacture biosimilars and biologicals, starting from the cell up to finished product, and its imminent opening.
He also discussed the significant progress made in implementing the ARAB API ( The Arab Company for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients ) project and the company's future plans for collaboration with several countries in joint pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The Latvian Minister of Health and his delegation then conducted a tour of several production departments at one of the company's factories.
