Dr. Kelani discusses with the Ambassador of Belarus ways to support industrial cooperation and exchange experiences in all fields.

Dr. Ahmed Kelani, Chairman - the Egyptian side - of Egyptian-Belarusian Business Council, EIPICO Chairman and Managing Director, received Mr. Sergei Terentiev, Ambassador of Belarus to Egypt.
Dr. Ahmed Kelani said that the meeting addressed ways to activate the agreements signed during the Egyptian-Belarusian Business Forum, which was held in the New Administrative Capital in Cairo, last February. Which- Covid-19 pandemic in the world - prevented from being implemented in its scheduled time.
Dr. Kelani, pointed that there are many areas of cooperation with Belarus in pharmaceutical industry, such as the transferring of technology from Belarus to manufacture vital medicines necessary for the production of Jabs and Insulin and the "Monoclonal Antibodies" and other.
EIPICO - Factory 3
He continued... "We have provided a full explanation to the ambassador of Belarus about the idea of the EIPICO -3 plant to be established soon for the production of biologicals & Biosimilar, from the manufacturing of our raw materials to the production of these medicines in a fully manufactured form.
Dr. Kelani added that cooperation with Belarus in the field of joint pharmaceutical production, and re-export from there to facilitate the access of Egyptian products to the countries of the European Union and many countries of "CIS", which are the countries of the former Soviet Union, and other European countries.
The Manufacturing of Cosmetics:
In addition to cooperation with Belarus in benefiting from its expertise in the manufacture of cosmetics, as well as cooperation with Belarusian companies in providing some materials and medicines to Egypt and from the field of plastic industries for laboratories and medical fields.
Form his side, Mr. Sergei Terentiev expressed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Ahmed Kelani, as Chairman of - the Egyptian side - of Egyptian-Belarusian Business ' Council, for his cooperation and great effort to convene and succeed the aforementioned business forum.
Activation of agreements
The Belarusian Ambassador expressed his country's readiness to activate these agreements, noting that he addressed this in recent meetings with high-level Egyptian officials persons , in the Ministry of Military Production, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Local Development.
Ambassador Mr. Sergei Terentiev stressed that there are many areas where we can start now, especially traditional ,Heavy Industries, Military Production, and agriculture- where Belarus is hosting a large exhibition of Agriculture from September 29 to October 4 this year in Minsk»
Mr. Sergei Terentiev also promised to expedite the study of the offer of a businessman to set up a waste recycling plant in Belarus .
Invitation to exchange business visits
Mr. Sergei Terentiev, presented an invitation to Dr. Ahmed Kelani - on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Belarus- to visit Belarus with a delegation of businessmen, conveyed the confirmation of officials in Belarus to provide all facilities to the Egyptian delegation to complete the visit and work on its success, and promised Dr. Kelani to meet the invitation to visit Belarus before the end of this year – if it is possible.
Ambassador Mr. Sergei Terentiev noted that a delegation of Belarusian businessmen is preparing to visit Egypt during the coming month of November to follow up on some work, joint projects and discuss ways to stimulate trade exchange and industrial cooperation between Egypt and Belarus.
Measures to counter covid-19
On the other hand, Ambassador Mr. Sergei Terentiev praised the actions taken by Egypt, with all its Authorities in dealing with the covid-19 epidemic, pointing to the praise of the World Health Organization and what statistics and reports show Daily, which led to a marked decline of the epidemic in Egypt. Egypt is one of the countries, which allowed to travel from- to Belarus without needing to make PCR analysis.
The Pharmaceutical Industry
The meeting discussed the impact of the corona pandemic on the pharmaceutical market and industry in Egypt and how this impact was negative but limited at the same time. Dr. Kelani explained EIPICO contribution to the provision of many medicines included in the Protocols of the Ministry of Health for the treatment of Corona infection.
EIPICO has provided millions of packages of antipyretic drugs ( CETAL antipyretic, Epizithro, antibiotic, anti-inflammatory Dexamethasone, immunosuppressive vitamins such as Cevitil vitamin C, Ferofol vit Zinc, Vitamin and immunosuppressant, pointing to the company's production of "Epifluver", known internationally as Avigan.
EIPICO Shield
At the conclusion of the interview, Dr. Ahmed Kelani presented EIPICO Memorial Shield to Mr. Sergei Terentiev, Ambassador of Belarus in Cairo, in recognition of his efforts to develop economic cooperation between Belarus and Egypt in all fields.
He also extended an invitation to visit the factories of EIPICO pharmaceutical company in Tenth of Ramadan city, to learn about the possibilities of world-class technology in the pharmaceutical industry available in the company, and Ambassador Mr. Sergei Terentiev welcomed this invitation on the promise to achieve it soon.
