Quality Control (QC) is that part of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) concerned with sampling, specifications and testing, in addition to the organization, documentation and release of the product procedures, which ensures that the necessary and relevant tests are actually being carried out and that materials are neither released for use nor products released for sale or supply before their quality has been judged to be satisfactory.
Quality Control Mission
The responsibilities of quality control departments at EIPICO include:
Sampling and testing of raw materials, packaging materials, bulk & finished products and stability samples with approved test methods, that meet the most recently pharmacopoeial references.
Monitoring of water system, compressed air, compressed gases and environment.
Participation in the validation and qualification studies.
We foster a quality control culture based on Highly-qualified/proactive personnel, An environment of continuous improvement and A Robust and standardized laboratory that utilizes the most cutting-edge instrumentation and methodologies to provide the most precise and accurate results, with all our testing being done "In-house".
Sampling and Retained Samples
Samples of starting materials, intermediates, packaging materials (primary and secondary), bulk products and finished products are collected on time, by qualified personnel adhering to approved sampling plans and sampling procedures.
In addition, sufficient reference samples of starting materials and products in their final packs are retained to permit future examination of the material and/or product, if necessary.
Raw Material Testing
Certificates of analysis received from our suppliers, for all materials (active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) & inactive ingredients and packaging materials, are thoroughly reviewed.
100% identification is carried out for all API containers.
Before production use, incoming materials pass through complete physical, chemical and microbiological quality inspection processes, to assure that their quality is in accordance with the most recent pharmacopoeial specifications.
Finished Product Testing
Our "Finished Product Laboratories" offer a complete package of physical, chemical and pharmaceutical testing for all phases of product manufacturing.
Our laboratories are well-equipped for carrying out the analysis in accordance with the recent pharmacopoeial monographs and providing timely and accurate results.
Microbiological Testing

The advanced microbiological testing laboratories at EIPICO are in line with international standards.
We have well-trained staff and state-of-the-art equipment.
The microbiology laboratories conduct tests of for raw materials, water, compressed air, bulk products, finished products, packaging materials and stability samples.
The environmental control department conducts all viable and non-viable monitoring of cleanrooms and controlled areas.
Specific microbiological testing and methods include microbial count, preservative effectiveness testing, bioburden, bacterial endotoxin, antibiotic assay, sterility and vitamin B12 assay, to both raw materials and finished products, utilizing stains, media and instruments with a quality that achieves the highest level of accuracy and reliability.
Stability Testing
Stability department at EIPICO conducts accelerated and long-term stability studies of products for submission and license renewal purposes. After marketing, the stability of our products is monitored over their shelf-lives according to an on-going stability program, to ensure that they remain within the approved specifications under the labelled storage conditions.
We meticulously maintain our advanced walk-in and reach-in stability chambers, which are equipped with a multitude of fixed sensors for continuous mapping and for timely capturing of electronic temperature excursion data, to ensure optimum precision for our stability studies.
Water Testing
The water analysis department conducts daily sampling and testing for all use points following an intensive monitoring program.
Computerized Laboratory Data Systems
We use computerized laboratory data system, that meets security and authenticity issues and makes our database as tamper-proof as possible.
