ALLERGEX CAFFEINE TAB.

Composition
Each tablet contains:
Chlorphenoxamine hydrochloride                       20 mg
Caffeine                                                           50 mg

Properties and Mode of Action
ALLERGEX CAFFEINE contains chlorphenoxamine hydrochloride, an antihistaminic with sedative and anticholinergic effects providing symptomatic relief in allergic conditions within as short time as 30 minutes and lasting for about 4 hours. Caffeine is a potent central nervous system stimulant added to counteract the sedative effects of chlorphenoxamine hydrochloride, thus providing less drowsiness and less fatigue in the susceptible patients.
Therefore ALLERGEX CAFFEINE is considered the Daytime antihistaminic for such patients.

Indications
Hay fever, vasomotor rhinitis, urticaria, serum sickness, angioneurotic oedema, pruritus ani, pruritus vulvae, contact dermatitis and insect bites.

Dosage and Administration
1 - 2 tablets 2 - 3 times daily.

Contra_indications
Like other antihistaminics with anticholinergic properties, ALLERGEX CAFFEINE should not be given to patients with glaucoma or prostatic enlargement.

Side effects
In particularly sensitive patients, ALLERGEX CAFFEINE may cause dryness of mouth or blurred vision.
