Composition
Each coated tablet contains:
Chlorphenoxamine hydrochloride                       20 mg

Properties and Mode of Action
ALLERGEX, chlorphenoxamine hydrochloride, is an antihistaminic with sedative as well as anticholinergic properties.
ALLERGEX provides symptomatic relief in allergic conditions which starts within 30 minutes and lasts for about 4 hours.

Indications
Hay fever, vasomotor rhinitis, urticaria, serum sickness, angioneurotic oedema, pruritus ani, pruritus vulvae, contact dermatitis and insect bites.

Dosage and Administration
1 - 2 tablets 2 - 3 times daily.

Precautions
As with other antihistaminics, ALLERGEX may cause drowsiness, therefore people in charge of vehicles or machinery should be cautioned accordingly. ALLERGEX may enhance the sedative effects of central nervous system depressants including barbiturates, hypnotics, narcotic analgesics, sedatives and tranquilizers.

Contra_indications
Like other antihistaminics with anticholinergic properties, ALLERGEX should not be given to patients with glaucoma or prostatic enlargement.

Side effects
Particularly sensitive patients may experience drowsiness, lassitude, dizziness, blurred vision or dryness of mouth.
