Composition
Each 1 ml contains:
Neomycin sulphate                                  3.5 mg
Polymyxin B sulphate                          16250 I.U.

Properties and Mode of Action
NEO-POL is a combination of:
Neomycin: A bactericidal aminoglycoside which binds to a specific receptor protein on bacterial ribosomes and inhibits protein synthesis. It is active mainly againt G-ve bacteria.
Polymyxin B: A bactericidal antibiotic active against G-ve bacteria including Pseudomonas.

Indications
Treatment of superficial ocular infections caused by susceptible micro-organisms.

Dosage and Administration
Mild - Moderate Infections:
1 drop every 3 - 4 hours.
Severe Infections:
1 drop every 15 - 30 minutes, gradually reduced.

Side effects
Hypersensitivity reactions, burning sensation, stinging and transient irritation.
