Composition
Each 100 ml contains:
Sodium picosulphate                       750 mg

Properties and Mode of Action
PICOLAX is an effective mild to moderate laxative which acts by stimulating bowel movemet following hydrolysis by colonic bacteria.
PICOLAX is the effective and convenient physiological laxative for the child, adult and the elderly.

Indications
Constipation.
Evacuation of the colon before radiographic or endoscopic examination or labourand prior to surgical operations.
Habitual constipation in geriatrics.

Dosage and Administration
Adults: 10 - 15 drops at bedtime.
Children 5 - 10 years: 3 - 5 drops at bedtime.
Children up to 5 years: 1 - 3 drops at bedtime.
This dosage can be increased or decreased according to individual requirements.

Precautions
Laxatives should never be given to patients with intestinal obstruction, fecal impaction, abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting.
Habitual use of laxatives should be discouraged.
Broad spectrum antibiotics may reduce the action of PICOLAX.
